Community Safey Awareness Meeting Minute - 01/17/12

The next Community Safety Awareness Meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 21, 2012. Details of this meeting will be posted upon confirmation by the host company.

The 2011 Annual Kids Safety Fair was held on Wednesday, May 4 at the Eastman Toy F. Reid Employee Center in Kingsport.

The 2012 Annual Kids Safety Fair will be held on Wednesday, May 2 at the same facility.

The 2011 Annual Safety Seminar was held on Wednesday, May 11 at the Eastman Toy F. Reid Employee Center.

The 27th Annual seminar will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at the same location. The Junior Godsey Memorial Grant has been increased to $1,500. The application and explanation of eligibility are posted on the Annual Safety Seminar page.

The 2011 Fire Safety Rodeo was held at Holston Army Ammunition Plant on Saturday, July 16. This event has been renamed the Dick Bailey Fire Safety Rodeo in honor of its founder.

The 2012 Fire Safety Rodeo will be held on Saturday, July 16 at Holston Army Ammunition Plant. Applications will be posted as soon as the Committee complete their review and update.

The NSC Safe Community Award through the TN Governor's Council on Injury Prevention will be presented by National Safety Council Representatives on March 20, 2012. Three local mayors and other dignitaries will be attending the awards ceremony.
